JCC Poster ! The Story
As usual, the official poster of the Carthage Film Festival is a masterpiece.
The festival administration has always given importance to the poster, which is one of the most important pillars of introducing the festival and giving the festival a special identity, especially by giving tribute to cinematic figures and the inspiration from design of the outstanding film, especially African identities .
This year, the management of the 33rd edition of the festival chose to draw inspiration from the image of the Senegalese actress Mbissine Thérèse Diop from the movie “Black Woman” produced in 1966 and directed by Ousmane Sembène.
“Black Woman” is one of the first African films to make an impact on world cinema.
The actress is a “Cinephile”, as she had been going to Dakar cinemas since she was young.
The Carthage Film Festival runs from the 29th of October to the 5th November 2022.
